HA NOI (Biz Hub) ─ VietBank appointed former Eximbank deputy general director Nguyen Thanh Nhung as its general director on Tuesday, after the State Bank of Viet Nam gave its approval late last week.
VietBank said the decision was part of its development plans.
Nhung has been working for 20 years in the banking and finance areas. At Eximbank, he was looking after credit management, operation supervision and bad debt treatment. He began management work at VietBank in May.
VietBank has 95 units with nearly 1,300 employees nationwide. The bank said that it was improving its financial and operational capacity, and accelerating investments in infrastructure and information technology to ensure efficiency and competitiveness. ─ VNS
