HCM CITY (Biz Hub) ― HCM City Development Bank (HDBank) is to provide banking services to insurer Great Eastern Life Viet Nam under a strategic co-operation agreement signed yesterday.
The bank said it would help the insurance company manage income and expenditure accounts and transfer money to parties relevant to insurance policies.
HDBank general director Nguyen Huu Dang said developing cash management services was among the bank's priorities.
Great Eastern Life general director Laurence Wong said the company was concentrating on developing education and health-care products.
"In 2013, we target to build a firm financial system and consider this goal a key factor in our development strategy," Wong said. "Co-operation with HDBank is a natural step to implement the long-term strategy."
Singapore-based Great Eastern is the oldest life insurance group in Singapore and Malaysia. ― VNS
