Xiaomi Corporation said overseas markets including Viet Nam accounted for nearly 50 per cent of its revenues last year.

Overseas revenues increased by 34.1 per cent to 122.4 billion yuan (US$18.7 billion), it said.

Total revenues were RMB245.9 billion, an increase of 19.4 per cent, it said.

“In 2020 our global business recovered from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and maintained steady growth. Since the outbreak of COVID-19, Xiaomi collaborated closely with upstream and downstream business partners to accelerate the resumption of work and production.

“During the pandemic, our products and services helped people … stay connected. Due to the easing of lockdown restrictions in major markets during the second half of 2020, our business performance has managed to stage an impressive rebound.”

Xiaomi announced it is expanding its line-up of mid-range smartphones with Redmi Note 10 Pro, Redmi Note 10S, Redmi Note 10 and Redmi Note 10 5G.

The company was founded in 2010 and listed in Hong Kong in 2018. — VNS
