Warburg Pincus Group invests in e-commerce warehouse in Binh Duong


Warburg Pincus Group are building a 75-hectare cross-border e-commerce centre Binh Duong New City in the southern province of Binh Duong.

The US' Warburg Pincus Group and its joint venture partner Becamex IDC are building a 75-hectare cross-border e-commerce centre in Binh Duong New City in the southern province of Binh Duong.

Global General Director of Warburg Pincus Charles R. Kaye wishes the province to create all conditions to soon implement the project.

This was one of the big strategic projects, aiming to build a supply chain integrated ecosystem, creating a highlight to attract investment and develop Binh Duong smart city, he said.

Given the importance of the project, he believes that the project implementation will elevate the position of Binh Duong Province in particular and Viet Nam in general in the field of e-commerce.

Chairman of the province's People's Committee Vo Van Minh also highly appreciated the investment project, through which the province is committed to creating the best conditions for the project to be successfully implemented, contributing to the construction of Binh Duong smart city in the future.

The whole province currently has 4,069 foreign investment projects with a total registered capital of nearly US$39.6 billion as of September 15.

The province is currently ranked second in the country in attracting FDI, after HCM City. — VNS
