Vietnam USA Society English Centers (VUS) has raised more than VND387.5 million (US$16,700) to buy teaching aids, milk and other necessities to seven schools in flood-hit central provinces.
Vietnam USA Society English Centers (VUS) has raised more than VND387.5 million (US$16,700) to buy teaching aids, milk and other necessities to seven schools in flood-hit central provinces.
They include Nguyen Tri Phuong, Phong Binh and Nguyen Khoa Thuyen secondary schools and Van Quat Dong, Quang Phuoc No.2, Phong Binh and Phu An primary schools.
VUS has also set up a fund called Vi tuong lai tuoi sang (For A Bright Future), which has co-operated with The Library Project to donate books to children living in remote areas.
It has also worked with Anh Sang Nui Rung Organisation to build schools in Nam Vi Commune in Dien Bien Province, donated 20,000 N95 and medical masks each to hospitals and gave scholarships to medical officials’ children after the COVID-19 outbreak. — VNS
