HA NOI (Biz Hub) — A mobile game contest called Bluebird Award 2015 has been launched for Vietnamese developers.

The contest is being organised by Vietnam Television's Channel 3 (VTV3) and Bluebird JSC to discover and encourage Vietnamese individuals, groups and enterprises that develop creative, entertaining and educational mobile games.

The participants of the contest are encouraged to develop their products based on free and open-source libraries, including software, tools and source codes.

The entries, developed on iOS and Android platforms, must be sent to the organisers of the contest before August 19. They will be uploaded on app stores under the name of Bluebird Award.

The final round and an award ceremony will be broadcast live on VTV3 on December 27. The winning team, whose product is downloaded the most from app stores, will be awarded VND300 million (more than US$14,280). The makers of the five most-popular products will be invited to visit Google's office in Singapore for two days. The contest's board of advisors will also present awards.
