AWS opens Innovation Hub to boost AI and cloud innovation across Asia-Pacific region
The Hub showcases more than 50 real-world use cases developed in collaboration with over 30 AWS and Amazon partners.

SINGAPORE — Amazon Web Services (AWS) has opened its first AWS Innovation Hub in the Asia-Pacific at its Singapore corporate office, aiming to accelerate the digital transformation and generative AI adoption across the region — including in Việt Nam.
Spanning 8,000sq.m, the state-of-the-art facility offers immersive experiences for over 1,000 business leaders and 200 university students each year. The Hub showcases more than 50 real-world use cases developed in collaboration with over 30 AWS and Amazon partners. These include AI-driven solutions for smart farming, manufacturing, citizen services and financial innovation, many of which are applicable to Việt Nam’s national digital transformation goals.
Executives visiting the Hub are guided through three experience zones — Aspiration, Acceleration and Action — where they can explore technologies such as generative AI, quantum computing and robotics. The journey ends in the 'Working Backwards Studio', where businesses co-create practical roadmaps using AWS’s Vision Builder, a tool powered by Amazon’s next-gen AI models.
AWS said the Hub aims to help organisations in fast-growing markets like Việt Nam design scalable, locally relevant digital strategies.
“Technological innovation is critical to the growth of Asia,” said Vice President of AWS Asia Pacific & Japan Jaime Vallés. “Here at the Hub, our customers – including those from Việt Nam – can turn ambitious ideas into impactful outcomes.”
Featured demos include an AI-powered farm-to-table system designed for sustainable urban agriculture, a smart e-bike production line using digital twin technology and ST Engineering’s AI tool to combat misinformation, which is increasingly relevant for Việt Nam’s digital government efforts.
Also on display are Amazon’s Project Kuiper satellite model, which could benefit remote and underserved areas in Việt Nam, and Amazon Rufus, an AI-powered shopping assistant now rolling out in selected Asia-Pacific markets.
The Hub complements AWS’s targeted US$9 billion investment into cloud infrastructure in Singapore by 2028, and builds on its broader regional support, including innovation centres, cloud skills programmes and digital economy partnerships with ASEAN countries.
AWS is already working with several businesses and government agencies in Việt Nam to enable smart city development, improve e-commerce infrastructure and support education through cloud technology. — VNS
