VR requests THACO explain about Madza 3 error

HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The Viet Nam Register (VR) on December 9 requested VinaMazda provide an explanation about a problem in the Check-Engine warning lights on its Madza 3 car models.

VinaMadza, a subsidiary of the Truong Hai Automobile Company (THACO), must also offer solutions and related documents, according to VR.

VR further requested VinaMadza to meet to discuss this error.

Director of Thaco's touring car department Bui Kim Kha told the Zing news site that the company will have a meeting with VR this week to respond to the inquiry.

At the moment, THACO is waiting for a decision from Mazda Japan, the supplier of the Check – Engine warning light, he said.

Customers who have problems should bring their cars to THACO's authorised agencies to replace the light at no cost, a customer service staff member told Viet Nam News.

According to THACO, by November this year, there were 170 Mazda3 1.5 car models out of 4,000 vehicles in the country had problem in the Check-Engine warning lights

In November, Mazda 3 is the most selling car model in sedan C segment, with 662 units, up 100 compared with the previous month. Meanwhile, the Toyota Corolla Altis models were sold 357 units, the Chevrolet Cruze car 269 units, and the Honda Civic 43 units.

THACO said 170 Mazda 3 1.5 car models out of 4,000 vehicles in the country had problems in the check-engine warning lights as of November this year.

In November, the Mazda 3 All New was the largest-selling model in the same sedan segment, with 662 units being sold, an increase of 100 units compared with the previous month.
