HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — Mazda remains one of the most popular brand of cars in Viet Nam, selling nearly 13,400 units in the first nine months, a 117 per cent increase year-on-year.
Truong Hai Auto Corporation (Thaco), the manufacturer and sole distributor of the Japanese car in Viet Nam with 21 showrooms, announced on Thursday that it expects to sell 7,000 units in the fourth quarter.

To help achieve the goal the company on Thursday launched the new Mazda 2 at the 2015 Viet Nam Motor Show, which is on at the Sai Gon Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) in HCM City's District 7.
Thaco said the new car is available at VND609 million (US$29,000) for the sedan version and VND669 million ($31,000) for the hatchback.
The vehicle features Kodo style and SkyActiv technologies.
The car is on show together with Mazda 6, new Mazda 3, Mazda BT-50, and Mazda CX-5. — VNS
