Visa to impart financial management knowledge to VNU students


Visa has tied up with the finance and banking faculty at the University of Economics and Business, Viet Nam National University, to foster students’ financial management skills.

Visa has tied up with the finance and banking faculty at the University of Economics and Business, Viet Nam National University, to foster students’ financial management skills.

The collaboration will include an orientation week with online and offline training to mark the beginning of the new academic year. Online participation is open to all students across the country.

Dung Dang, Visa country manager for Viet Nam and Laos, said: “Sound financial management skills can enrich … our lives whether we are students, homemakers or professionals. This is why Visa is excited to co-operate with educational institutions in Viet Nam to provide the next generations with knowledge that will prove vital for their happiness.”

Visa also plans educational programmes at Fulbright University Vietnam, University of Science at VNU HCM City, University of Languages and International Studies at VNU Hanoi, University of Labour and Social Affairs, and others.

They will provide students with financial management knowledge and digital skills, and help build a foundation for financial stability.

Visa’s global financial education initiative, Practical Money Skills, brings together individuals, educators and private and public stakeholders to provide communities with the tools and resources needed to develop money-management skills. — VNS
