HÀ NỘI — VinFast Energy, Marubeni and Vinpearl have successfully launched the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at Vinpearl Resort Nha Trang, marking a significant milestone in applying Vietnam-developed and manufactured battery storage technology to practical use.

The Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project, located on Hòn Tre Island, Nha Trang, within the prestigious Vinpearl Resort Nha Trang complex, boasts a storage capacity of 3.7 MWh. As part of the broader collaboration between Vingroup and Marubeni Corporation in clean energy, the project represents a crucial milestone in the green energy transition. It underscores Vingroup's strong commitment to achieving net-zero emissions and fostering a sustainable future.

The BESS system was researched, developed and manufactured by VinFast Energy, using advanced lithium-ion battery technology, with a high energy density and a liquid cooling system. This design enhances efficiency, extends the system's lifespan and optimises investment costs,  while ensuring a stable and efficient power supply throughout its lifecycle. The successful operation of the project highlights VinFast Energy's expertise in creating innovative energy solutions that meet rigorous quality and safety standards recognised by international partners. — VNS
