Viettel retain most-valuable-brand crown for seventh year

With its brand value of US$8.8 billion, Viettel remains the most valuable Vietnamese brand for the seventh consecutive year, according to a report from the leading brand valuation consultancy Brand Finance.
Viettel's brand is about three times as valuable as the second-ranked brand ($2.9 billion) and third-ranked brand ($2.8 billion) on the Top 50 valuable brands in Viet Nam. It accounts for roughly 36 per cent of the total value of the ten most valuable on the list ($24.4 billion).
Viettel's great progress amid economic downturn and its emphasis on environmental sustainability have added to its popularity. Brand Finance's research found that Viettel is the most sustainability-aware telecommunication company in the country.
Its consolidated revenues reached VND79.7 trilllion ($3.4 billion) in the first six months of 2022, up 6.6 per cent year-on-year. To which, service revenues contributed nearly VND72 trillion.
It made an pretax profit of VND26.6 trillion, about 22 per cent higher than the same period last year. — VNS
