HCM CITY — Sacombank has been named among the Top 10 Most Innovative Enterprises 2025 - Banking Sector (VIE 10) and the Top 10 Vietnam ESG Green Enterprises 2025 - Banking Sector (ESG 10) by Vietnam Investment Review newspaper and Viet Research.

These accolades reaffirm Sacombank’s commitment to balancing business efficiency with sustainable responsibility.

This is for the third consecutive year Sacombank has been honoured in the VIE 10 list, reflecting its investment in R&D and advanced technologies to enhance service quality and operational performance.

It indicates the bank’s continued innovation, which strengthens its competitiveness and delivers added value to customers, investors and society.

This is the first year the ESG 10 list has been introduced, and Sacombank’s inclusion underscores the strides it has made in sustainability.

The bank has undertaken various initiatives to drive both business efficiency and sustainability.

Most recently it has been promoting green consumption and mobility through a modern payment ecosystem and standout digital products.

They include Sacombank Pay, which goes beyond a typical financial app and functions as a digital "financial assistant" for eco-conscious users.

Integrated with advanced technologies, biometric security and multi-service connectivity, the app enables users to manage expenses, open accounts and cards, make payments, transfer funds, deposit money, and apply for consumer loans entirely online, reducing the need for in-branch visits and paper usage, thereby reducing carbon emissions.

In the case of public transport, Sacombank Mastercard MultiPass and Mastercard Metro Pass support HCM City’s cashless mobility. These contactless cards let users access buses and metro services by simply tapping their card, phone or smartwatch and replace paper tickets, making commuting greener.

A notable innovation is the Sacombank Visa Platinum O₂ credit card, which pioneers green consumption.

Made from recycled ocean plastic, it offers cashback on eco-friendly purchases and indicates CO₂ emissions per transaction, thus encouraging users to make more responsible spending choices.

Through such initiatives, Sacombank is actively contributing to the Government’s 2021–25 cashless payment strategy and the State Bank of Vietnam’s digital transformation road map. — BIZHUB
