PRAGUE — Vietjet and F AIR, a leading flight training centre in the Czech Republic, have signed a partnership agreement to train pilots, in a ceremony witnessed by Việt Nam’s Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính and his Czech counterpart, Prime Minister Petr Fiala.

Under the agreement, F AIR will provide flight training for pilot trainees at Vietjet Aviation Academy’s (VJAA) Multi-Crew Pilot License (MPL) programme in the Czech Republic. The programme adheres to European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) standards, aiming to develop highly skilled pilots for Việt Nam's aviation sector and the broader region.

Trần Hữu Quốc, director of VJAA, said: “Partnering with a leading European flight training centre enables Vietjet to secure a steady pipeline of internationally certified aviation professionals.

"This collaboration marks a strategic milestone in Vietjet’s journey toward global connectivity, addressing the airline’s growing needs and sustainable development.”

Việt Nam and the Czech Republic share a long history of cooperation across various sectors, including education and training, particularly in aviation personnel development. Vietjet’s partnership with F AIR further strengthens this relationship while expanding the airline's European collaborations for pilot training.

Human resources remain a core focus in Vietjet’s development strategy and the broader aviation industry.

As an IATA training partner in Việt Nam, VJAA has conducted numerous pilot recruitment drives to help aspiring pilots fulfill their dreams of conquering the sky, aligning with the industry’s long-term growth outlook, thus providing more flights for passengers.

VJAA trains and supplies over 200 pilots annually, including initial training and type-rating programmes.

Founded in 1990, F AIR is Central and Eastern Europe’s premier private flight school, offering a full spectrum of aviation training programmes. With over three decades of experience, F AIR has trained thousands of pilots from around the world, combining state-of-the-art facilities, modern aircraft, and a commitment to quality. — VNS
