HÀ NỘI — Tourism Malaysia is showcasing its rich culture, adventures and natural wonders at the Việt Nam International Travel Mart (VITM) Hanoi 2025 from April 10 to 13 to attract more Vietnamese travelers.
This marks the build-up to the much-anticipated Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026) campaign themed “Surreal Experiences.”
Joining Tourism Malaysia at the fair are major tourism stakeholders, including Sarawak Tourism Board, Tourism Melaka, and top travel agents, supported by strategic airline partners like AirAsia and Batik Air.
In the lead-up to the event, a “Fly & Discover Malaysia” seminar was held on April 9 at Hôtel Du Parc Hanoi, providing travel professionals with key insights into Malaysia’s offerings and tourism developments.
At the Malaysia Pavilion, visitors are invited to discover the country’s colourful festivals, nature retreats, and thrilling activities through various engaging experiences.
Highlights include free brochures, travel maps, and guides; mesmerising cultural dance performances by Sarawak artists and photo opportunities with the lovable Malayan Sun Bear mascots; exciting mini-games and giveaways with exclusive Malaysia travel merchandise; and promotional travel packages available through partnering agents.
Visitors can also learn about Malaysia’s exciting 2025 events calendar, which includes the Malaysia Mega Sales (June 15–July 31), the iconic Rainforest World Music Festival (June 20–22) in Sarawak, the George Town Festival (August 2–10) in Penang, and the Petronas Grand Prix of Malaysia (October 24–26). Numerous food and cultural festivals will also be featured throughout the year.
In addition to leisure tourism, Malaysia is strengthening efforts in promoting MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism from Việt Nam.
Initiatives such as Malaysia Airlines’ MHbiz EVENTS programme offer incentives like discounted airfares, express immigration access, and more.
The MyTripleE 2.0 scheme by MyCEB further supports MICE groups with financial aid, cultural experiences, and accommodation subsidies, enhancing corporate travel to Malaysia.
Salinda Sany, director of International Promotion Division (ASEAN) at Tourism Malaysia, said Việt Nam continues to be a significant tourism market for Malaysia.
“As we gear up for Visit Malaysia 2026, we invite visitors to experience our world-class destinations, from pristine islands to vibrant cityscapes and exciting theme parks.”
