The Abi dream: when school is a second home for children

Many studies show that from birth to six years is the golden period for the development of a healthy personality, providing the basis for comprehensive development in the future.

When many parents are too busy with work, the school is the most trusted place for them to talk about and share their mission and great responsibility in educating their children. It is also the dream that is being nurtured every day at the Abi kindergarten system of Thanh Thanh Cong Education Joint-Stock Company (TTC Edu, TTC Group), whose enthusiastic and whole-hearted leaders always position themselves as teacher and parent.

Having officially expanded its operation to the educational sector since the end of 2015, the TTC Group has shown its vision and direction toward sustainable development by investing comprehensively in all levels of education, from kindergarten to college and university.

In particular, at the pre-school level, giving children a home and an ideal environment for character formation is the best basis for them to step into life confidently. This belief is reflected by the enthusiasm of the executive committee, teachers and staff of the Abi kindergarten system.

Ms. Dang Huynh Uc My, Vice Chairlady of TTC Group, once had a dream of becoming a teacher, which has become a reality to some extent, as she is currently sharing work experience with members of the Abi staff. As TTC focuses on educational activities, that dream continues to inspire and motivate My to put her whole heart into this humane field.

As a member of the management board of TTC Edu, she has been and is working with her colleagues to realize the dream and mission of Abi: "The aim is to contribute to promoting recognition and creating innovation for pre-school education at the national level. Also, to contribute to creating a ‘new’ generation of citizens, with emphasis on physical, mental, moral and spiritual development, and to create a foundation for subsequent educational levels, with the aim of creating excellent global citizens.”

Every parent whose children is of school age wants them to have an optimal environment for both mental and physical development, and to enhance their thinking ability and awareness through practical experiences. Understanding that mindset, each Abi pre-school is not merely a place to teach knowledge and care for daily meals and sleep of the children, but also a counseling center on educational methods, with the desire to contribute to universal preschool education following the principle "for the community, lighting up dreams".

The entire Abi kindergarten system is equipped with comprehensive facilities and water purification systems according to Japanese standards, and ensures balanced nutrition, safe food use and standard hygienic and safe processing. The lectures have advanced content, with a focus on foreign language, and are vivid and use an intuitive training model both indoors and outdoors. The educational programmes, developed on the basis of international ones, aim to help children develop both physically and spiritually in equal measure.

The enthusiasm of Abi is implemented in its educational philosophy: "Children are the center of all educational methods". This is done so in a spirit of respect by creating optimal conditions as well as a safe and loving environment for children to develop in accordance with their age. In addition, children are educated by encouraging individual thinking, based on selective application and innovative and effective collaboration of advanced educational methods, while maintaining the cultural foundation of Vietnam.

The expectations of parents of their children are also the educational goals of the Abi pre-school system. The focus for children under the roof of Abi is development of both personal and social skills, including cognitive and critical thinking skills, emotional development, communication ability, knowledge about language and science, understanding of their surroundings, physical development and creative spirit. That is the foundation for the formation of future citizens with noble living values that UNICEF has identified, including peace, respect, cooperation, responsibility, honesty, simplicity, humility, tolerance, solidarity, love, freedom and happiness.

Speaking about what Abi has been and will implement, My said when positioning themselves as fathers and mothers sending their children to school, it is not difficult for people in the education sector to understand the aspirations and the orientation toward children. Deep empathy for parents, together with a sense of responsibility, love for children and the teachers’ attitude and mindset are motivating factors that promote love and nurture faith between teachers and children, and family and school, and turn dreams and expectations for their children into reality.
