Property developer Sun Group on Tuesday afternoon held the ground-breaking ceremony for Tam Dao Ecotourism Complex in northern Vinh Phuc Province with the participation of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
Tam Dao Ecotourism Complex, located in Tam Dao District’s Dai Dinh Commune, will include a park, botanical garden, art exhibition centre, cinema and a recreation area, and will meet the diverse needs of tourists through all seasons.
The ecotourism complex will cost VND2.9 trillion (US$129.5 million) in its first phase.
Nguyen Van Tri, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, said that the Tam Dao Ecotourism Complex was a key project in the province’s tourism strategy in line with the socio-economic development. The Government of Viet Nam is developing the tourism sector as an economic spearhead by 2020.
Tri said that the project would create jobs and provide stimulus to local economic growth.
Dang Minh Truong, Sun Group’s deputy chairman, said the developer expected to build Tam Dao Ecotourism Complex as a must-visit cultural and recreational destination in Vinh Phuc Province.
The project would also help improve the role of Vinh Phuc in promoting regional tourism, including in areas such as Ha Noi, Vinh Phuc, Thai Nguyen and Lao Cai. — VNS
