DA NANG — Building on the success of the "Day of Wonders" series, the Taiwan Tourism Administration HCM Office, in collaboration with Travellive Media Group, hosted its third seminar called "Lam Dai Mien Vien" on March 26 in Đà Nẵng City.
"Day of Wonders" is a series of events organised by the Taiwan Tourism Administration HCM Office to promote Taiwan's premium tourism this year.
Following the successful organisation of "Dai Cac" in HCM City and "Xuan Dai Nha Tap" in Hà Nội, the programme come to Da Nang.
The "Day of Wonders" event themed "Lam Dai Mien Vien" emphasised sustainability, green tourism, and the preservation of local culture.
"Lam Dai" is a symbol of a solid foundation and far-reaching vision, and "Mien Vien" signifies eternity and continuous development, like traditional festivals and cultural heritage that resonate through time.
"Lam Dai Mien Vien" evokes the image of a green, sustainable land where nature, people, and culture blend, creating a space for sustainable development.
The event offered participants the opportunity to explore Taiwan's developing green ecotourism models, including trekking, cross-forest cycling, and hot spring bathing, while also discovering the unique cultural values of Taiwan through traditional festivals and ethnic village cultural experiences.
It is not just a tourism promotion event but also a platform for networking and exchange among businesses, organisations, and individuals interested in sustainable development.
The participants also had a chance to expand their cooperation networks, share experiences in building green tourism models, and access the latest industry trends.
This is also an opportunity for Vietnamese and Taiwanese tourism businesses to explore partnership opportunities, thereby developing attractive, environmentally friendly and sustainable tourism products.
The event also featured a lantern-making workshop co-organised by DOM Art at the Novotel Danang Premier Han River Hotel.
Taiwan is a destination that emphasises sustainability, with many hotels and restaurants adopting green standards in their operations.
These establishments use local ingredients to minimise emissions from long-distance food transportation while supporting the local agricultural economy.
This also helps preserve traditional farming methods and encourages agricultural biodiversity.
Many local restaurants and hotels also limit single-use items, a crucial and common measure in waste reduction.
Taiwan has also implemented a carbon fee system and officially opened registration for a voluntary carbon reduction plan.
This system acts as a tool to promote carbon reduction, requiring fee-paying entities to set specific reduction targets by 2030, while also combining with a voluntary plan to reduce emissions effectively. — VNS
