Internet connectivity will slow down in the coming days as the AAG cable
connecting South East Asia and the United States has broken again,
Viettel and VNPT said today.
Following the repair of the Asia America Gateway (AAG) undersea
cable late in June, the Intra Asia (IA) cable system connecting Viet Nam
to the United States was reportedly cut.
Viet Nam''s Internet service providers announced that they have
implemented solutions to ensure the stability of Internet connections
between the country and other nations.
The Asia-America Gateway (AAG) submarine cable will be under
maintenance and repair from June 7 and that can slow down the Internet
connectivity between Viet Nam and other countries.
The Asia-America Gateway (AAG) undersea cable was fully repaired by
2.20am on May 12, restoring full Internet services between Viet Nam and
other countries.
The Asia-America Gateway (AAG) submarine cable had been fully repaired
as of 12:20 p.m. on January 23, which has helped restore internet
capacity from Viet Nam to other countries.
Work to repair and restore the Asia America Gateway (AAG) submarine
cable link is expected to be completed by 2pm on January 23, said the
FPT Telecom Company.
