“We are very impressed with the traditional hand-made lanterns, star lamps and toys set out to welcome the Mid-Autumn Festival, as well as the many tasty dishes at Ngon Garden Restaurant in Hà Nôi’s 70 Nguyễn Du Street,” said Đỗ Thu Hà, a resident of Hoàn Kiếm District.
Hà said her family, including her parents and two children, tried out the restaurant to enjoy the seasonal decorations, including golden autumn pathways and a ceiling that looks like a river of sparkling green stars. The restaurant is decorated for the Mid-Autumn Festival, and the beautiful autumn full moon is nearly here.
Hà said her two children loved the specialty food and festival atmosphere of the restaurant, which is decorated with traditional colourful toys and other Mid-Autumn items like mooncakes and fruit. The children were also excited to try on a lion mask and beat a drum.
“My parents are happy to experience quality family time amid the warm and festive atmosphere at the restaurant,” Hà said, adding that they also enjoyed delicious dishes, including lobster baked with cheese, crab and gourd hotpot, steamed chicken in lotus leaves, grilled squid and desserts like sweet bird’s nest soup with papaya and lotus seeds and sweet longan porridge.
Seated next to Hà’s table was a young couple from Hải Dương Province, who said they like the classic Mid-Autumn Festival traditions at Ngon Garden.
“We don’t know much about past Mid-Autumn festivals. Thanks Ngon Garden for introducing young people and children to the festival's traditions. We will never forget the beautiful memories and the warm atmosphere here," the couple said.
They added that they really enjoyed dishes like the crispy fried green bean shrimp, Singapore chili crab and grilled salmon with green peppers and cream sauce.
Dương Quang Nghị, an overseas Vietnamese businessman from the US, invited his partners to relax in the restaurant's light garden to welcome this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival.
“It brings me back to my childhood when we get together to welcome the festival. It helps us get closer to each other and enjoy the taste of intimacy,” said Nghị.
“Ngon Garden wishes to welcome children and families for unforgettable nights and to remember the beautiful image of the full moon," said Hạnh Phạm, owner of the Quán Ăn Ngon Restaurants chain that includes Ngon Garden. VNS
