The InterContinental Da Nang Sun Peninsula Resort received the World's Leading Luxury Resort award for the second time in El Jadida, Morocco, on December 13.

Real estate developer Sungroup said the resort won the category at the World Travel Awards upon receiving the highest number of votes from travel professionals and high-end tourism consumers from around the world.
The resort beat 10 other nominees for the top award in the worldwide category.

Aiming to deliver on its promise as a place "Where Myth Meets Luxury," the resort recently hosted high-profile international events.
In July, it won the Best Achievement in Design Award at an award ceremony organised by Virtuoso Hotels & Resort and Virtuoso Life magazine.Since its launch in 2012, the iconic 197-room resort, located 600 metres above sea level on the Son Tra Peninsula in the central city and designed by architect Bill Bensley, won four awards in various categories at the World Travel Awards in 2014. — VNS
