SSI Asset Management Company Limited has won three awards at the 2021 Annual Fund Management Awards given by Alpha Southeast Asia.

They were for Best Overall Asset and Fund Manager, Best Fund Manager for Insurance and ILP (investment-linked insurance policies) Mandates and Private Retirement Schemes.

This is for the second year it has won for Best Overall Asset and Fund Manager and ILP Mandates and Private Retirement Schemes.

In the context of COVID-19 and the State Bank of Vietnam cutting deposit interest rates, the company has launched a number of new funds to meet the needs of investors seeking to shift their money from banks.

Its VNFIN LEAD ETF (exchange-traded fund), the first ETF to simulate the Vietnam Financial Index in Viet Nam, saw total assets under management increase from US$11.4 million when launched in January last year to $117 million by the end of last month.

The assets under management by SSIAM VN30 ETF went up from $2.7 million in August 2020 when the fund was listed to $3.4 million by July this year.

In the second half of 2020 SSIAM launched two private investment funds worth hundreds of millions of dollars, the Vietnam Growth Investment Fund (VGIF) and DAIWA-SSIAM III Fund.— VNS
