HCM CITY — Following Lotus's acquisition of Alphachymotrypsine Choay® in Việt Nam and Cambodia from Sanofi, the two companies announced new distribution activities for the product to ensure seamless access for consumers.

Last September, Taipei - Lotus Pharmaceutical Co Ltd, a multinational pharmaceutical company, announced the acquisition of the trademark, marketing authorisation, and manufacturing know-how of Alphachymotrypsine Choay® from Sanofi.

Following this, the two companies have announced new distribution activities for the product in Việt Nam, whereby Sang Trading and Pharmaceutical Company Limited (Sangpharma) will undertake the distribution activities to ensure seamless access for consumers.

Sang is located at 11/9 Ngô Quang Huy Street, Thảo Điền Ward, Thủ Đúc City, HCM City and will undertake the distribution activities for the product Alphachymotrypsine Choay® across this country. This decision was made considering Sangpharma’s proven track record in pharmaceutical logistics, dedication to excellence in service delivery, and the expected added value to the Alphachymotrypsine Choay®’s distribution strategy.

Distribution for the Cambodian market will be decided by Lotus later.

This transition aims to ensure that Alphachymotrypsine Choay® remains readily available in Việt Nam, maintains its accessibility to patients and healthcare providers, and guarantees uninterrupted customer support.

To ensure a seamless transition, Sanofi, Lotus and Sangpharma have worked closely to develop a comprehensive transition plan. Alphachymotrypsine Choay® (chymotrypsine) is an established and widely used treatment prescribed for edema after trauma, surgery, or burns in Việt Nam. — VNS
