A workshop was held in the capital on solutions to facilitate the construction of energy efficient and green buildings in Viet Nam on Thursday.

Organised jointly by Panasonic, the construction ministry, International Finance Corporation and the World Bank’s department of science, technology and environment, the programme introduced a solution to promote green buildings, keeping in mind government policy. The event also provided a platform for the 70 local and foreign developers who were attending to share their practical experiences.

Panasonic unveiled its One Stop Solution concept, which integrates efficient construction methods with implementation of technology to help developers gain a competitive edge by enhancing energy efficiency in their buildings and meeting the criteria of green building. The aim is to support sustainable development in Việt Nam.

One Stop Solution promises to cater to developers’ individual requirements though it can be applied to all building projects to make them energy efficient, provide security features that will reduce maintenance and operational costs and facilities for a comfortable environment.

Masaaki Kobayashi, general director of Panasonic Viet Nam, said, “Expanding from the consumer electronics business, Panasonic desires to work with B2B partners in the country and provide solutions that will help meet the increasing demand for better living quality, health and safety, while being environment-friendly and maximising investment returns. We believe the One Stop Solution concept will contribute to developing this country’s landscape.” — VNS
