HA NOI — Budget carrier Jetstar Pacific, a member of the Jetstar Group, officially inaugurated its new international flight between Ha Noi and Hong Kong yesterday.
The airlines, which saw the first airline in the region offering cheap flight tickets on this route, said the flight was aimed at boosting tourism and business trips between Ha Noi and Hong Kong and added that this would meet the increasing demand for low-cost travel between the two locations.
It will operate four return flights a week on Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday, using 180-seat Airbus A320 with travel time of two hours.
The airline said the one-way ticket prices start from VND590,000 (US$26.78).
Earlier, a promotion programme had offered the one-way ticket at VND29,000 ($1.38) as it introduced the flight on September 4-6.
Jetstar Pacific, which operates 25 international and domestic air routes, plans to open two domestic flights from Pleiku to Ha Noi and HCM City.
Last year, the airline launched new routes from Ha Noi and Da Nang to Macao, while a new route between Da Nang to Singapore will begin this November.— VNS
