New Ford Ranger to arrive this month


US auto maker Ford Viet Nam said its New Ford Ranger would hit the market by the middle of this month at a price of VND619-859 million (US$29,100-39,400) including value-added tax.

HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — US auto maker Ford Viet Nam said its New Ford Ranger would hit the market by the middle of this month at a price of VND619-859 million (US$29,100-39,400) including value-added tax.

The New Ford Ranger boasts modern design and technologies like SYNC 2 connectivity, lane keeping aid, adaptive cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, electronic stability programme, hill launch assist, and hill descent control.

Ford said the new version, to be imported though it has production facilities in Viet Nam, would come in six versions.

The Ford Ranger has been the leader in the Vietnamese pick-up segment for the last two years with a market share of an even 50 per cent.

Since 2001 it has sold more than 20,900 units. — VNS
