Nestle has launched the new NAN SUPREME PRO 3 formula products with five human milk oligosaccharides, which it claims enhance children’s immunity systems.

The five HMOs (2’-FL, DFL, LNT, 3’-SL and 6’-SL) account for nearly 40 per cent of HMOs in breast milk.

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that babies should be breastfed exclusively for the first six months and after that mothers should introduce supplementary (solid) foods while continuing to breastfeed up to at least two years of age.

The essence of HMO is lactose cores with unique structures that are found only in breast milk. HMOs have been scientifically proven to improve children's immunity in the first years of life.

Tanti Ermawati, business executive officer of Nestle Vietnam Infant Nutrition, said: “The successful research and the official introduction of the supplement formula of five types of HMOs including 2-'FL, DFL, LNT, 3’-SL and 6’-SL in NAN SUPREME PRO 3 product is a breakthrough step, confirming our continuous efforts to improve the quality of life and contribute to a healthier future for Vietnamese children.”

The product also comes with bio-based lids and scoops made from at least 66 per cent of renewable plant material. — VNS
