HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Microsoft Vietnam and Viettel on September 30 signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to boost their cooperation in providing cloud computing-based infrastructure and services to Vietnamese government authorities.

Under the agreement, the US software giant will cooperate with Viettel to offer consulting, analysis, design, cloud computing services and security solutions to meet the demands of these government agencies.

Further, Microsoft and Viettel will also continue to offer cloud computing-based services for enterprises and individuals in Viet Nam.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Microsoft executive vice president Brad Smith said that Viettel's fast growth, reputation and position as the largest Vietnamese mobile operator had laid the foundation for cooperation between the two companies.

Tong Viet Trung, deputy general director of Viettel, praised the agreement with Microsoft, a leading corporation on solutions, devices and services. "We believe that shaking hands with Microsoft will help us approach high-end technology products and services. The brand and reputation of Microsoft will ensure the success of our projects," he remarked. — VNS
