HÀ NỘI — Leonardo, a leading Italian aerospace, defence and security tech firm, has opened an office in Hà Nội to bolster its technological collaboration in Southeast Asia.
Speaking at the opening, Stefano Pontecorvo, president of Leonardo, highlighted Việt Nam's pivotal role in the region's technological transformation, expressing his hope for a long-term and fruitful partnership.
The event was attended by Dương Hải Hưng, Ambassador of Việt Nam to Italy, and Marco della Seta, Ambassador of Italy to Việt Nam.
Leonardo, which employs over 53,000 people worldwide and operates in 150 countries, reported EUR15.3 billion (US$17.75 billion) in consolidated revenues and EUR17.9 billion in new orders in 2023. The company's technology is already present in Việt Nam in a variety of sectors. It aims to foster new opportunities and support strategic infrastructure development in the country.
The company also took part in the Vietnam International Defence Expo held in Hà Nội from December 19 to 22 last year. — VNS
