The Reverie Saigon, renowned for its opulence and culinary excellence, is presenting The Pastry Soirée, an exclusive afternoon tea collaboration series highlighting the finest local pastry chefs.

The exceptional series runs every Saturday in September, promising guests an unmatched gastronomic journey celebrating the artistry and mastery of pastries and cakes.

The revelry begins on September 9 with ‘Douceurs Delights,’ showcasing the creations of Chef Trâm Anh, co-founder of PalaisDes Douceurs. Anh's culinary fascination was ignited during her early exposure to world-renowned restaurants.

She embarked on a journey that led her to study at Institute Paul Bocuse in Lyon and hone her skills at L’Hôtel Lancaster in Paris before co-founding the esteemed pâtisserie, Palais Des Douceurs.

The following weekend introduces ‘Magical Mouquet’ by Chef Robin Mouquet-Richelet, whose expertise blossomed in France’s esteemed Michelin-starred establishments.

Having lent his culinary talent to renowned restaurants like Alain Ducasse’s Louis XV, Michel Sarran, and Alain Passard’s L’Arpege and Le Balzac, Robin Mouquet-Richelet holds diplomas from Lycee Hotelier D’occitanie Toulouse. Presently, he stands as the chef-owner of Robin Mouquet Cake shop in Hồ Chí Minh City.

The Reverie Saigon’s own Pastry Chef Tịnh Bùi will delight with ‘Reverie Refinement' on September 23. Pastry Chef Tịnh Bùi's journey commenced during his boyhood, watching his grandmother craft fruit desserts for Lunar New Year celebrations.

Since then, he has evolved his expertise, with experiences ranging from a five-star hotel internship to international training in Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong. Having joined The Reverie Saigon since its opening, he has contributed his skills in various capacities.

The Soirée culminates on September 30 with ‘Bakes Beauties’ featuring delectable creations by Chef Brian Gartner. A native of France, Gartner initially ventured into biotechnology but soon embraced the culinary arts, interned at Le Jules Verne under Alain Ducasse, and emerged as a pastry chef.

With an enriching journey that included leading a pastry team at Kempinski and refining Oriental sweets and desserts at Four Seasons Casablanca Hotel, he now serves as the bakes executive pastry chef.

The Pastry Soirée promises an exceptional gathering of HCM City's most accomplished pastry chefs, each presenting their signature cakes and pastries to weave an unparalleled afternoon tea celebration.

This innovative collaboration marks a ground-breaking event in HCM City, spotlighting the city's thriving culinary brilliance and commemorating the artistry of pastry-making.

Those interested should not miss the extraordinary gastronomic journey that guarantees to tantalize your taste buds and honour the craft of pastries and cakes like never before. — VNS
