Under the partnership, ACV will provide a full range of airport services at all locations where SPA is expected to operate.

HÀ NỘI — The Airports Corporation of Việt Nam (ACV) and Sun Group have signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement to support the launch and operation of Sun PhuQuoc Airways (SPA), a new full-service airline scheduled to take off in the fourth quarter of 2025.
The agreement marks a significant step toward establishing a premium aviation and tourism ecosystem centred on Phú Quốc and other strategic domestic and international destinations.
Under the partnership, ACV will provide a full range of airport services at all locations where SPA is expected to operate. These include ground handling, passenger and baggage services, cargo operations and other aviation-related functions.
ACV’s synchronised infrastructure and professional operational standards will serve as a strong foundation for SPA to operate efficiently while meeting the industry’s highest safety and service standards.
Sun Group has pledged to prioritise the use of ACV's services at airports managed by the corporation, ensuring seamless coordination and elevating the customer experience. The two sides have also agreed to expand collaboration in tourism promotion, destination marketing and the upgrade of high-quality airport lounges, with a vision to deliver five-star service standards to passengers.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Chairman of Sun Group Đặng Minh Trường emphasised that airports are not only the starting point of a journey, but also the first impression travellers have of a country.
“This cooperation between Sun Group and ACV is more than just infrastructure coordination. It is a strategic move to connect a luxury resort airline with a world-class tourism and service ecosystem,” Trường said.
On May 20, the Prime Minister officially approved the investment policy for the Sun PhuQuoc Airways project. The airline will operate as a full-service carrier with flexibility to run charter flights.
By 2030, SPA is expected to expand its fleet to 31 aircraft, with a total investment of VNĐ2.5 trillion (approximately US$96 million). The airline aims to strengthen Phú Quốc’s connectivity with major tourism and economic hubs, both in Việt Nam and abroad. — VNS
