Instagram officially launched ‘Reels’, a new way to create and discover short, entertaining videos on Instagram for Vietnamese users on March 31.
This new experience gives anyone the ability to create and edit up to 30 second short-form videos and the opportunity to be a creator on a global stage. People can also discover, watch and interact with Reels in a dedicated space in the app.
With new editing tools, people can create Reels and share to their friends or share to Reels, a dedicated space on Instagram.
Vietnamese people can now find Reels on their Instagram camera and film videos directly on Reels or use a saved video from their camera roll to use the creative tools to freely edit. Reels can be discovered, watched and interacted in the Explore tab. It offers various tools to produce creative and fun videos, such as Speed, Timer and Countdown, Timed Text and Stickers, Align and Touch-Up.
“We are always listening to and taking inspiration from our community and how they use Instagram. We have created Reels to give people a new form of short video entertainment on Instagram, and potential to reach a huge, global audience outside of their Instagram followers. In Viet Nam, 92 per cent of Gen Z is using Instagram to follow local and international celebrities, so with the launch of Reels, we hope to give the Vietnamese more ways to create and discover what they love. Launching Reels is a part of our “Facebook for Vietnam” long term campaign to show our commitment to the country,” Khoi Le, Head of Global Business Group, Vietnam at Facebook.
The launch of Reels in Viet Nam was made possible through the active partnership with the Viet Nam Centre for Protection of Music Copyright (VCPMC).
Reels will be gradually available out to everyone in Viet Nam in the upcoming days. — VNS
