HA NOI (Biz Hub) — IBM announced today that Vietnam Prosperity Bank (VPBank) is using its big data and analysis technologies to synchronise the data of its customers since February.

At the moment, the bank is providing diverse services, such as core banking, Internet banking and mobile banking. There are millions of transactions conducted at branches and transaction points in its system every day.

The technologies help finance experts, the customer services director and credit officers to get information on customers' habits vis-à-vis using products and services, costs per product and projected revenue for future marketing campaigns.

Going forward, VPBank would start using analysis technologies for its non-structure data, such as information on social networks to better understand the demands of customers, as well as to enhance its financial planning skills. — VNS
