Huế Central Hospital, GE HealthCare collaborate to elevate medical expertise and research
GE HealthCare and Huế Central Hospital signed a memorandum of understanding for strategic cooperation in medical training and research, aiming to enhance the application of internationally-standard advanced healthcare technologies for medical experts and improve healthcare quality for patients in Việt Nam in Huế City on December 11.
HCM CITY — GE HealthCare and Huế Central Hospital signed a memorandum of understanding for strategic co-operation in medical training and research, aiming to enhance the application of internationally-standard advanced healthcare technologies for medical experts and improve healthcare quality for patients in Việt Nam in Huế City on Wednesday.
Under the agreement, GE HealthCare commits to implementing continuous training programmes in medical imaging from basic to advanced levels, as well as clinical training courses to provide professional support for Huế Central Hospital’s doctors. Each course will integrate in-depth academic lectures and practical case studies, led by renowned national and international professors and specialists.
Additionally, both parties will collaborate in organising conferences and workshops on diagnostic imaging for medical experts across the Central Highlands region.
On the day of the signing ceremony, GE HealthCare joined forces with Huế Central Hospital to host the 2024 annual conference of the Central Region Hospital Directors Club, while also featuring updates on advanced imaging technologies during a series of in-depth organ transplantation workshops for medical experts.
To further expand partnership and promote advanced scientific research in Việt Nam, the two will collaborate on medical research initiatives. Huế Central Hospital will play a pivotal role in generating data repositories and clinical evidence for GE HealthCare’s newly launched global AI-powered products, technologies and applications, as well as gathering expert evaluations from the hospital’s doctors to guide the latter’s innovation programmes and contribute to the future of global medical science.
The signing ceremony holds significant meaning in the healthcare sector, owing to the stature of the two strategic partners: GE HealthCare - a global leader in medical technology and healthcare innovation - and Huế Central Hospital - the largest specialised medical centre in the central-Central Highlands region, one of Việt Nam’s top three general hospitals. — VNS
