Hòa Phát has delivered 500 40-foot general cargo containers to SeaCube Container Leasing, marking the first collaboration between the Vietnamese group and a globally renowned container leasing company.
The handover of this batch of containers not only affirms Hòa Phát reputation in the container manufacturing industry, but also opens up opportunities for long-term cooperation with SeaCube, contributing to meeting the increasing needs of the international shipping market, Hòa Phát said in a statement.
Vũ Đức Sính, director of Hòa Phát Container Manufacturing Joint Stock Company, said that following this shipment, both parties anticipate further cooperation in supplying additional container products.
The containers were manufactured by the group’s container-making factory in the southern province of Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu.
During a recent visit to the factory, Jorge P. Dias, vice president of Operations & Procurement at SeaCube, highlighted the high demand for containers in Việt Nam and expressed his hopes for continued collaboration between SeaCube and Hòa Phát.
The vice president also expressed his anticipation that there will be larger orders from SeaCube placed with the company in the near future.
Previously, Hòa Phát has handed over containers to many large domestic and foreign partners.
The Hòa Phát container factory has a total designed capacity of 500,000 TEU per year, focusing on making 20 and 40-foot general cargo container products. The factory currently has an operational production capacity of 200,000 TEU per year, making Hòa Phát the largest manufacturer of ISO container equipment in Việt Nam, as well as Southeast Asia. — VNS
