Japan's Meiko Group proposed Hoa Binh Province to invest in a factory to produce electronic circuits in the industrial park on the left bank of the Da River with a total investment of VND4.67 trillion, equivalent to US$200 million.
Accordingly, this group will lease land and infrastructure from Da Hop Joint Stock Company with a total area of 9.2ha.
The group wishes to continue to receive the support of the province to implement the project successfully.
Meiko is a Japanese company specialising in the production of electronic circuit boards and assembling complete electronic circuit boards and has many customers who are major electronic companies such as Apple, Samsung, Panasonic, and Fuji Xerox.
The company currently has five factories in Japan, two factories in China and representative offices and subsidiaries around the world.
In Viet Nam, Meiko has invested in construction since 2006 and had three factories producing electronic circuit boards and assembling printed circuit boards (PCBs) with a total investment capital of up to $500 million up to now. — VNS
