Nutrition company Herbalife Nutrition celebrated 13 years in Viet Nam with an unwavering commitment to helping people improve their nutrition habits to live a healthier life.

Officially starting its operations in Viet Nam in 2009, Herbalife now has become one of the 500 largest companies in Viet Nam.

“Viet Nam is our top market in Asia Pacific. Looking ahead, we are committed to building a lasting presence in Viet Nam and nurturing a healthier generation of Vietnamese through the power of good nutrition,” said Stephen Conchie, Regional President of APAC and China for Herbalife Nutrition.

Herbalife Vietnam's 13th anniversary also marked the launch of a new Casa Herbalife Programme at Nguyen Dinh Chieu School in Ha Noi, the 7th Casa centre in Viet Nam, to help improve daily nutrition for 176 pupils with vision disabilities at this school, with a grant of VND352 million.

On the occasion, the Major League Soccer club LA Galaxy, which has a multi-year nutrition partnership with Herbalife Nutritio, paid a visit to Ba Chieu Shelter under the Women’s Charity Association of HCM City (WOCA).

The team spent time playing with the children and teaching fundamental football skills to the pupils, inspiring them to adopt active lives. The team also donated US$30,000 to the WOCA to help boost nutrition for 150 WOCA children and enable the children in WOCA care who have finished high school to continue their education at colleges and universities.

Since the first Casa Herbalife Programme launched in 2013 in Viet Nam, Herbalife has been partnering with seven charitable organisations in the country to help provide daily nutritious meals to more than 1,100 children in need, with grants totalling over VND16 billion.

Herbalife Vietnam also joined hands with the Vietnam Olympic Committee to organise nutrition training for 50 Vietnamese coaches and athletes on December 13.

“The nutrition foundation we have been building for Vietnamese athletes is to enhance their knowledge of nutrition, and once they understand more about their nutrition needs for different competitions, they can more effectively apply the best approach. We will continue bringing our deep expertise in nutrition to help Vietnamese athletes improve their performance levels,” said Vu Van Thang, General Manager for Herbalife Vietnam and Cambodia. — VNS
