Gov't to increase import tax for used cars

The Government will increase the import tax rate for used cars of nine seats or more from June 20 this year, according to the Prime Minister's Decision 24/2013/QD-TTg.

HA NOI – The Government will increase the import tax rate for used cars of nine seats or more from June 20 this year, according to the Prime Minister's Decision 24/2013/QD-TTg.

Cars under 1,000cc will be taxed at US$5,000, while cars from 1,000cc to 1,500cc will be subject to a tax rate of $10,000.

The current tax rates are $4,200 and $9,600 respectively. -- VNS
