FrieslandCampina Viet Nam is ranked among Viet Nam’s top 10 Sustainable Enterprises for its business achievements as well as programmes for its sustainable development.
The company has cut its energy use by 15 per cent, water use by 25 per cent for and CO2 emissions by 40 per cent since 2010.
Its programmes to develop the dairy industry, Den Dom Dom, under which it builds new schools in disadvantaged areas, and nutrition education benefit the community.
The ranking was done by the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Viet Nam Business Council for Sustainable Development in co-operation with various ministries, the Viet Nam General Confederation of Labour, and the State Securities Commission of Viet Nam.
It honours enterprises and organisations that achieve sustainable development in the country. — VNS
