Viet Nam's FPT Information System Company (FPT IS) recently began implementing SAP enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions for Myanmar's United Paint Group Co., Ltd (UPG).

HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Viet Nam's FPT Information System Company (FPT IS) recently began implementing SAP enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions for Myanmar's United Paint Group Co., Ltd (UPG).
This is the first ERP project that a Vietnamese firm has carried out in Myanmar.

Within seven months, FPT IS will carry help create subsystems for production management, product purchasing and sales, along with storage, accounting and a smart reporting system. The implementation of the software will enhance UPG's management capacity and enable its leaders to have access to real-time data and a report system.
UPG, a wholly-owned Myanmar company, produces architecture, decorative, industrial and marine paints, as well as protective and wood coatings, along with other painting-related products. It has a factory spread over a total area of six hectares and has built a countrywide network of dealers and distribution centers.
This project will be implemented at its headquarters in Yangon, at its factory and five branches in Myanmar and at its member company in Singapore.
FPT IS General Director Pham Minh Tuan said its global businesses, which have 14 projects in international markets, such as Bangladesh, Singapore and the Philippines, have earned revenue of US$26.4 million.
FPT IS, a member company of the FPT Corporation, has implemented ERP solutions for Vietnamese enterprises and governmental offices, such as the Ministry of Finance, Dong Tam Group and Vinamilk. — VNS
