HA NOI (Biz Hub) — FPT Information System (FPT IS), a member company of the Vietnamese FPT Corporation, has won the 2014 Global Telecoms Business Innovation Award, together with its partner LogNet Systems.
FPT IS and LogNet Systems won this award in the Business Service Innovation category for their implementation of the MaxBill solution from LogNet Systems at Lao Telecommunications Company (LaoTel).
The Global Telecoms Business Innovation Awards recognise innovative projects in the telecommunications industry worldwide. The award ceremony took place on May 14 in London and was attended by Le Anh Tuan, General Director of FPT IS Global, and Kirill Recther, CEO of LogNet Systems. Established in 2007, the awards honour communications service providers and their technology suppliers annually.
"We are very proud to receive this award together with our partner LogNet and for the business value we are delivering to our customer LaoTel," explained Le Anh Tuan. "As we expand our business internationally, we have strong expectations for the continued success of LogNet and MaxBill at other leading service providers in our region and in new markets around the world."
LaoTel is the incumbent telecommunications service provider in Laos. The company provides fixed line, mobile and Internet services to a growing customer base of over 3.5 million subscribers and is the only communications service provider to provide nationwide network coverage.
The MaxBill solution enables LaoTel to offer multiple services and attractive packages with zero-touch, automated service delivery, simplified customer support and transparent billing. On a strategic level, MaxBill allows LaoTel to manage best practices for defining and implementing modern and efficient BSS processes which are fully integrated across its entire organisation.
In November last year, FPT IS and LogNet Systems announced a global partnership which would help the former with its international growth plans. The two companies are targeting telecommunications and utility service providers in Southeast Asia and the other emerging markets across the world. — VNS
