FPT Group starts $112 million apartment project in Đà Nẵng
FPT City, a member of the FPT Group, started construction of the residential FPT Plaza 4 apartment project on 1.8ha, with an investment of VNĐ2.8 trillion (US$112 million), offering nearly 1,400 apartments.
ĐÀ NẴNG – FPT City, a member of FPT Group, has started building the residential FPT Plaza 4 apartment project across 1.8ha with an investment of VNĐ2.8 trillion (US$112 million), which will supply nearly 1,400 apartments for FPT Complex alongside a centralised information technology (CIT) zone.
The general director of FPT City joint-stock company, Nguyễn Văn Lộc, said the 20-storey apartment block is one of a series residential and working space infrastructure projects in the information technology-based urban area.
He said the ground-breaking ceremony of the project also celebrated the city’s Reunification Day (March 29).
The apartments will be ready to move into in the second quarter of 2027, he said.
FPT City has already has put into operation two apartment projects – FPT Plaza No 1 and 2 with nearly 1,300 apartments – and completed the roof-top floor of the 800-apartment FPT Plaza No 3.
FPT City is home to an IT ecological system including FPT Software, FPT Telecom and FPT Education, providing working spaces and homes for 10,000 IT workers and 9,000 students and teachers at FPT schools.
Giant software exporter FPT Group has already invested VNĐ2.5 trillion ($108 million) in infrastructure projects in Đà Nẵng City.
The group and Đà Nẵng have agreed to collaborate on digital transformation 2021-25, accelerating the ‘smart city’ project and putting the city on the ASEAN smart city network list by 2030.
FPT Software (F-Soft) Đà Nẵng company, a member of the group, plans to earn VNĐ3.6 trillion ($144 million) in software exports this year, after introducing the third campus at the FPT Complex and signing a strategic cooperation deal with the central city’s information and technology sector in semiconductor and AI.
FPT Group also plans to open Advancing Packing and Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) Testing service at Đà Nẵng City’s Hi-tech Park and the duty-free zone.
Currently, FPT Complex employs 8,000 people in the software industry and contributes 69 per cent to the city’s software export tturover.
FPT’s education system has 18,000 students enrolled in IT, while its ‘smart’ education services provide regular training for 25,000 school students.
Đà Nẵng has four CIT zones including the Đà Nẵng Software Park, the Đà Nẵng IT Park, the FPT Complex and Software Park 2, creating 53,000 jobs. VNS
