Food producer honoured

HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — VIFON, one of the country's leading makers of instant foods, received the Labour Medal, First Class, for its contribution to the country's economic development.

It was presented at a ceremony in HCM City on Sunday July 21 held to also mark the 50th anniversary of the Viet Nam Food Industries JSC, as the company is known.

Speaking at the ceremony, Le Thi Anh Phuong, VIFON's chairwoman, said the company has grown at an average rate of 10 per cent in recent years.

It sells its products not only at home but also in over 50 countries, including in exacting markets like the US, Japan, Korea, Australia, and EU, she said. — VNS
