HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — FrieslandCampina Viet Nam won in five categories at the Mobile Marketing Association's 2016 SMARTIES VIET NAM awards, which honour innovation, creativity and success in mobile marketing campaigns.

The victories marked the second year the company has won awards at the event.

The company's Friso brand won gold awards in the programmatic category and the relationship-building/customer relationship management category.

Its Yomost brand won a silver award in the mobile video category and bronze awards in the product/services launch and messaging categories.

Mark Voncken, FrieslandCampina Viet Nam's marketing director, said over 72 per cent of Vietnamese citizens now used smartphones, a 55 per cent increase from last year.

The rate was the same as in the US, and the company therefore must to change its customer access methods, he said.

The company planned to make mobile marketing its business strategy to connect with consumers, he added.— VNS
