Moon cake producer Mondelez Kinh Do has said it will introduce more than 80 varieties of moon cakes at various prices for the Tet Trung Thu (Mid-Autumn Festival) next month.

The festival falls on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month, September 24 this year.

This year the company is focusing on luxury gifts such as trang vang (gold moon) moon cakes, Oreo moon cakes and moon cakes for children.

It has also redesigned packaging with options that resemble heads of unicorns and lanterns.

All products are now available at its outlets across the country.

Mondelez Kinh Do is a subsidiary of US-based Mondelez International Company.

It makes moon cakes for export to the US, China, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, and Chinese Taiwan.

It owns several well-known local and international brands like Cosy, Oreo, RITZ, Solite, AFC, and Kinh Do.

The Mid-Autumn Festival is an occasion for families to get together and children to enjoy moon cakes and play with star-shaped lanterns.
