be opening up the Instant Articles programme to all publishers—of any size, anywhere in the world at its F8 conference on April 12.

"We built Instant Articles to solve a specific problem, which is slow loading times on the mobile web creating a problematic experience for people reading news on their phones", Facebook said in its blogpost.

This is a problem that impacts publishers of all sizes, especially those with audiences where low connectivity is an issue.

Facebook's goal is to connect people to the stories, posts, videos or photos that matter most to them.

With Instant Articles, publishers can do this while retaining control over the experience, their ads and their data.

To date, Facebook have been working with a few hundred publishers around the world to build an incredibly fast and immersive reading experience.
