HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — Urban planning experts and architects gathered on April 23 in HCM City for a workshop on urban planning to adapt to climate change.
The meeting focused on two main topics - "city resilience" and "challenges" for urban development.
The delegates spoke about integrated modalities of city resilience in the process of urban planning and socio-economic and environmental challenges urban areas face and their solutions and presented case studies.
The attendees included managers, experts and alumni from the Southern Institute for Spatial Planning of Viet Nam and Southern Institute of Social Sciences, Boydens Engineering (Belgium).
Urban development in the context of climate change is one of the focal sectors of the Belgian Development Cooperation in Viet Nam.
