Shopping website lotte.vn is going offline, with the company merging their e-commerce platform with another of their online shopping portals.
For three years, lotte.vn has been providing online retail services in Viet Nam.
But management has decided to concentrate on their more popular speedl.vn, bringing the two sites together from early next year.
The announcement was made by general director Kim Kyou Sik.
He said the move is expected to help improve Lotte Mart's operational efficiency and is in line with the trend of combining traditional and online retail, the firm said.
Lotte Mart said in a statement: “All payment obligations in agreements with suppliers of Lotte.vn will end by February 20, 2020.”
Lotte.vn and Lotte Mart are subsidiaries of South Korea’s multinational conglomerate Lotte Corporation.
Last week, VinGroup also announced it would shut down its e-commerce site Adayroi.com. — VNS
