Dragon Capital Vietnam Fund Management and MoMo officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement to deploy fund certificate investment products on the MoMo e-wallet, the first-ever of this type in Viet Nam, on June 7.

According to the cooperation agreement, the MoMo platform will help connect investment demand with a payment solution for the e-wallet users in buying/selling open-ended fund certificates managed by Dragon Capital.

This is the first time in the financial market that an open-ended fund certificate product has been put on a super-app platform for trading, creating opportunities for tens of millions of individual investors to easily open trading accounts at Dragon Capital and manage their assets directly and quickly.

In less than 1 minute, investors can open a fund certificate trading account without going to a counter directly.

In addition, with the ability to pay for fund certificates directly with MoMo Wallet money, investors do not have to open additional bank accounts or bear transfer fees (if any) when depositing investments.

It is the effort of both Dragon Capital and MoMo to provide the most convenient investment experience, contributing to the "popularisation" of investment products that are unfamiliar to many Vietnamese.

Hanh added it was a new trend in developed countries when traditional fund management companies combine with dynamic Fintech companies to optimise the strengths of the two sides.
