Doosan appoints new CEO for Vietnamese operations


Korean firm Doosan has appointed Jeong Young Chil as new chief executive officer and general director of its Vietnamese base – Doosan Heavy Industries Viet Nam (Doosan Vina).

Korean firm Doosan has appointed Jeong Young Chil as new chief executive officer and general director of its Vietnamese base – Doosan Heavy Industries Viet Nam (Doosan Vina).

Jeong Young Chil has worked for Doosan Group nearly 26 years, in manufacturing techniques, strategic management and sales and marketing.

Jeong lived and worked in Ha Noi between 2011 and 2016 as director of sales and marketing for Southeast Asia.

He said he will take this experience as a useful foundation to operate Doosan Vina.

Doosan Vina is a high tech industrial complex in the Dung Quat Economic Zone of central province of Quang Ngai employing 2,000 Vietnamese people.

The company supplies infrastructure products including boilers for thermal power plants, desalination plants that turn seawater into fresh, cranes and structural steel for buildings and infrastructure developments.

The company has exported products worth US$2.4 billion. — VNS
